When you don’t know what to do, ask yourself this: How do I want to FEEL?

When you answer that first, the rest of your answers will come easily. One at a time.

Whenever you don't know what to DO, or even when you have too much to do and don't know what to do NEXT, just ask yourself how do you want to FEEL?

Last Friday evening, I sat on my bed, not sure about what to do. I had a list of things I wanted to do for my business, I had ideas I wanted to move forward with, I had beautiful photographs I’d taken at the beach the previous day that I wanted to collate, I could chat to my Mum, I could also watch a movie as that too seemed like an appealing thing to do on a Friday. And more.

Instead of letting myself slip into mindless social media scrolling, or getting into a feeling of overwhelm and choosing to eat a biscuit (or two…sometimes that train takes off quickly 😉) I STOPPED and remembered this powerful approach to life: Feelings first.

So I asked myself… how did I want to feel? Satisfied and productive immediately came to my mind.

As soon as I did that I felt a shift of energy within me. And then I chose to collate my photos. Which led to an inspired idea to select my favourite to print and frame to hang on my wall, which led to also turn it into headers for my next blog post (this one), which led me to an error message as soon as I opened Photoshop, which led to me solving that problem in order to proceed, which led to a realisation that this same problem on my computer was the reason that I hadn’t been able to update the iOS for the past 3 weeks! Yoah!

One inspired idea led to something else which led to something else, and just kept on giving. Solutions for 3 different problems and a new article for my community! How cool is that?! See how it works?

And can you imagine how satisfied and productive I felt? 😸

Try it. Next time you’re not sure about what you want to do or “should” do, ask yourself how do you want to feel. And notice what happens.

With Love,

Jenny X
