You cannot build a sovereign business while constantly asking invisible judges for permission.
Will they like it?
Will they understand it?
Will they think I’m too much?
Will they pay for this?
Will they leave?
Those questions create a business field of negotiation.
Self-authorship asks a cleaner question:
What is true here, and am I willing to stand inside it?
That question changes everything.
